@steemhunt: Easy Coins

In this one, I am going to show everyone how to accumulate Hunt tokens, the SMT for @steemhunt.

For those unaware, @steemhunt is in the middle of an airdrop of tokens on Steemians. They already did a direct drop where each person holding SP was entitled to a 1:1 match of whatever SP was in the account at time of claim. This was on a first come, first serve basis. Only 18% of the allotted coins were claimed, hence going back into the pool.

@steemhunt, ever the innovators, came up with a couple wonderful ways to give out more tokens. It is simple, takes very little time, and anyone is eligible. To me, this is a great way to amass more coins in one's account.

Before going any further, I would like to remind everyone that any coin created using the SMT protocol will be paired with STEEM. This means that one will be able to exchange any of those coins for STEEM and then power up. I am not suggesting this path since we have no idea what coins will be priced at when they hit the exchange. At the same time, each person needs to do research into individual projects to determine long term viability. Personally, I am high on the long-term potential of @steemhunt but each has to decide.

My point here is to merely show that using the applications could be a way to add to one's SP holding down the road. Smaller account struggling to get some traction with the direct approach might consider using this alternative method.

Here is a way, in addition to using the website, one can get Hunt coins from @steemhunt.

Get the Chrome extension

@steemhunt created an extension for Chrome. By adding it, one is able to get 100 coins per day as long as the extension is used to access @steemhunt.

Once the extension is installed, one only needs to go to the upper right hand corner and enter his/her username. There will be a blank box about where my profile pic is located.

Complete this and the extension is ready to use. Access @steemhunt each day and get 100 Hunt in addition to what you already earn on there.

Roll 4 times a day for Hunt Coins

Every 6 hours, there is between 10-100 coins available to each account via a roll.

To claim the coins, simply press the button shown in the blue box below.

This means that one is guaranteed 40 coins a day simply by hitting the button 4 times a day with a maximum of 400 coins.

Here again, we see a very simple way to earn some coins and add to our holding.

I must state that it is important to be mindful of when a new day starts. I found that it is 11 AM Eastern Time in the United States so you will want to adjust accordingly. This means that the rolls are available to me at 11 AM, 5 PM, 11 PM, and 5 AM. Of course, one can roll anytime during each window.

It is important to mention that @steemhunt already surpassed the traditional counterpart. When you look at the numbers on Product Hunt, you will see there is a great deal more activity on @steemhunt. This is something that really could become big.

Also, the goal of the development team is to have @steemhunt act as uniting force between sellers of products and those who seek them out. Since many entities are always looking for ways to find buyers, @steemhunt has a great system where Hunters (influemcers) are promoting the products.
