We Do Not Have The Same Fears As Society In GeneralsteemCreated with Sketch.

I had another day with my boss at work today. Over lunch we started discussing the state of technology. He is aware of the ramifications of what took place the last couple decades yet is woefully blind, even though I told him, to what is coming.

He only sees the problem not realizing there is an entirely new system being constructed. The likes of Facebook will have to relinquish control.

I mentioned to him that Microsoft is working on a Digital ID system (DID). He jumped to the conclusion that it is another attempt at a massive corporation to control us. I said the only problem with that view is that Microsoft is testing it on the bitcoin blockchain.

Now I must say we do not know how this will all pan out yet we have seen some rather large corporations embracing open source and decentralization. I believe many of these companies realize it is time to get in line or get run over.

The biggest difference between today and 20 years ago is the number of geeks. When you look at who the techies were back then, the numbers were small. Some were early stage coders from the days of BASIC. Others were ones who went to school for it.

Today, we see a large percentage of the population under the age of 35 who is naturally into technology. Many of these people were self taught simply using different apps and languages over the years.

In addition to this, the tools for global collaboration are here. This is due to the Internet. In the 1980s and 1990s, this was obviously not the case since the Internet was being set up. There was no Skyping with people. Collaboration came in the form of bulletin boards.

It is easy to see why blockchain is getting so much recognition. It is a simple technology yet is revolutionary. We are only beginning to innovate which means a great deal will be built upon it that we cannot envision at this moment. That is where the true exponential power enters.

The world of retail is a prime example. Join the innovation age or die. Many well known chains are biting the dust because they missed the transformation to online. Keep in mind that only 10% of all retail sales are online yet we see the results. Consider what the destruction will look like if 10% of the economy is built upon blockchain. Remember, at its core, a blockchain is a distributed ledger, something that all businesses use. Double-entry accounting is used by everyone; at some point we will be saying that about triple-entry accounting.

So while my boss is fearful of the future and all the surveillance, I am calm about it. This is just a phase. There WILL come a day when you own your data. We are going to see a time when surveillance, as we know it, is crushed. The Internet as a global data mining forum is going to change.

Facebook might become the next Sears. It is confronted with the same adapt or die. The move towards centralization is not going to remain forever. There will come a point in time when decentralized technology rivals the centralized world for the most part. We will always see instances where some centralization is used but it will be the minority.

This is something I learned over the last few years. I write the articles I do hoping to pass this message along to others. There are many issues that can be solved if you simply envision blockchain inserted into the equation. Now please do not take that to mean that I think everything can be solved with blockchain. Anyone who proclaims that is bordering on foolishness.

It does, however, provide a lot of answers to what ails society in terms of inequality, AI, surveillance, and oppressive governments. Consider what it would be like to have a system where most of the fraud was removed.

This is all being worked on as I type these words.

Of course, most people are completely unaware of what is taking place. I say it will be another 3 years before most of then are clued in.

But the current govern-cements of the world run on that fraud!
If it is removed, then what will happen to govern-cements?

Really, f-c-books days are numbered, because they are an evil psy-op. For what they have done, they should have the executives lined up and shot. However, few recognize what they have done. The horror that they perpetrated on society... is normal.

But the current govern-cements of the world run on that fraud!
If it is removed, then what will happen to govern-cements?

I would say we can add central banks to that.

And if we followed the logic another level, remove the fraud and those entities end up caving in on themselves.

They simply cannot stand up to scrutiny.

Highly rEsteemed!

Distributed ledger technology has the potential to affect everything where centralization of power leads to injustice, indeed. Thanks so much for sharing this well founded and positive outlook in these grim times :-)

This is really great, i had to resteem this post so as to read it over again, I like that part where you said

I'm so glad to see that big corporations are starting to embracing open source and decentralization. This would be a means to solve many issues and for more people to come into the Blockchain also.

I've given you a follow to catch up with your future post. Nice to meet you buddy

Peace ✌️

Technology will get us to the next phase but centralized organizations will try to delay it given their loss of control. Transparency was never possible given the lack of trustless networks which are now a standard with blockchain.
