Artificial Intelligence transforms the way you travel

The way in which you travel for sightseeing or for work is changing as quickly as the way you live.

When planning a trip, with a lot of information available and some of it spectacular, the expectations are very different that a few decades ago and today convenience, comfort and price are more relevant and important. It is not about the appearance of a miraculous solution to travel, but a massive disruption where there are thousands of companies developing Apps, taking advantage of practically all the multiple technologies existing in the market. However, underlying all this progress in each of them is Artificial Intelligence (AI). These are changing the tourism industry, facilitating travel planning and reservations, accompanying the traveler on their journey and enriching the travel experience in each part of the process.

Reservations and Trip Planning

The presence and use of AI in the different Apps allows the tourism industry to customize services, handle travel needs (before, during and after), predicting future travel selections and completing reservations. There are numerous Apps that work the different parts of the travel and tourism process. IA operating mainly behind racks allows them to complete their tasks to the App they provide:

• Comparisons between thousands of flights and hotels, as well as online information on visas and destinations.

• Fast and easy customer service, seeking to eliminate the need for the user to have to talk to a service center or even enter a web page to make reservations.

• Learning traveler's unique preferences - Virtual assistants with sophisticated AI and analysis skills make assumptions about traveler preferences to complete reservations.

• Talking with passengers to persuade them to use their vacation days on specifically designed trips.

• Making recommendations for trips (for example, the Tips for Google Appointments).
Know before traveling

With Virtual Reality (VR), even before the consumer begins to plan before their holidays, since they can live the experience of what they are interested in visiting. There are 360 degree cameras, where the multiple lens captures absolutely everything in each direction. The software (in-time-real) links the images in an instant signature producing photos and videos in which the visitor can immerse. RV no longer necessarily requires a special helmet, you can experience RV on the main platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter) with 360 photos. RV is there, just drag to the left or right, or in the desired direction to explore the new digital surroundings.

Travel companions

The traveler can select from many of the Apps to serve as a companion during the trip, which provide real-time assistance during the trip in many areas to:

• Maintain contact by instant messaging and be able to connect the traveler with a physical travel agent when required.

• Provide assistance in previously-agreed trips.

• Manage all aspects of the trip.

Concierge - Hotels

The hotels that have reception in the Robotic Concierges, with the ability to access additional information not scheduled and that improve the quality of the concierge in the hotels and also in the airports.

Competition between destinations

Locations that were inaccessible become immersed experiences. With Virtual Reality (RV), destinations have to compete with each other and with "resorts" that are providing potential customers with in-depth and surrounding views of what it looks like to spend the night or visit the place.

Augmented Reality (AR), the technology that superimposes and concatenates a virtual world on the real world in which we live, makes the physical and digital worlds indistinguishable and is on the way to expand to other senses (like touch and smell). There are Apps, like one in the Museum of Natural History, where by placing the phone on a skeleton you can see how it would have looked in life.
