Today marks the start of Black History Month, and to celebrate, the long awaited iconic movie, Black Panther is set to be released later this month.

Actress Octavia Spencer is bringing the movies magic to underserved communities in Mississippi, in hopes to inspire and show African Americans that despite years of systemic oppression, they too are heros.

Spencer made the announcement via Instagram, saying,

“I will be in MS when this movie opens. I think I will buy out a theatre in an underserved community there to ensure that all our brown children can see themselves as a superhero. I will let you know where and when Mississippi. Stay tuned. #KingsAndQueensWillRise #blackpanthermovie

This isn’t the first time Spencer has helped low-income communities, when Hidden Figures debuted, another African American film, she bought out an entire Los Angeles theatre for the underserved.

Black Panther’s ticket pre-sales have eclipsed every other superhero movie, and has already set records elsewhere, according to movie ticket giant Fandango.
