With Youtube's heavy handed ban-a-thon in full effect I thought people might me interested in a censorship resistant platform where everyone is monetized. I am currently Beta testing the brand new Bittubers.com a combination social media and video upload site that pays out in a coin called TUBE.

Short History of Bittube

My problem with youtube isn't they banned my channel or deleted any videos, my problem was my channel wasn't "advertiser friendly" because of the drugs, vandalism, conspiracy vids etc. I don't want make videos for free, I want to get paid. Bittube pays you in a coin called TUBE, and getting paid based on how much actual time my video was watched was appealing, I joined bittube as soon as I heard about it. They paid you both for views and when you watched other peoples videos.

They added Airtime

Airtime is an extension that acts as an Ad blocker, while it runs you collect time and that is converted into TUBE coins. I have made 36 dollars worth just running it. It's like money for nothing. They added staking function

By staking either 2500 or 25000 TUBE for a month you were able to collect more airtime coins. Its similar to steem power you can unstake after a month and get it all back, and all the extra TUBE you made is just profit.

Also in the airtime extension they have an exchange function. And you can opt to have your airtime coins by used for a VPN, making it really a free VPN. They also have a file exchange (I never used it not sure how that works)

Bittube keeps adapting. The new platform is a bit of Facebook, a little Twitter, some Youtube, maybe some instagram. They have messaging, communities, chats, livestreams.

As for how much will you make, fuck I can't say. The details are being worked out, the site is in beta testing right now and there probably won't be rewards until it is live. It's going to be paid thru airtime, so that will be 3 days after. There is no one week reward window on TUBE so your stuff can earn as long as people like or watch it. So far the beta version is only open to people who staked 25 000 TUBE, soon stakeholders will less will gain access, and after that it will be fully live.

Unlike Steemit you are going to be able ignore people and boot them off your posts. They have a reputation system too. It's still being worked on but a community based moderation system is the ultimate plan.

There are also going to be various levels of accounts, with varying privileges and earning possibilities.
