Will We See A SteemFest Pump?
Last year there was a lot of good news that came out of SteemFest, but it was frankly lost on a Market that was so focused on BTC Hardforks and wild pumping that was pulling value from the ALTs. There was no way to determine if anyone noticed SteemFest at all, outside of our own community.
This year has been quiet and a bit depressing for many, so I think good news and announcements have a better chance of gaining attention this year.
Although I will not be attending SteemFest in Poland, I am looking forward to watching anything that is live Streamed and to hear lots of exciting news. We need some good news and a reminder of the future things Steem will bring to the crypto space.

I still think that It all depends on how Bitcoin is doing. I don't think STEEM pumps on news.

You can bet there will be inspiration to invest a bit more seeing the energy and synergy caused by a gathering of like and positive minds.
Maybe they could start a movement of increasing their stake by 5 or 10% each. That would be a nice pump especially when followed by us out here watching but not able to attend.

Neither of the last two Steemfests resulted in a pump. Steem price also rarely seems to follow news, positive or negative, except for exchange listings.
Yeah, this is mostly true so far.
Next pump is Coinbase.
I would expect some updates on Hiveminds and Smart Media Tokens as Steemit Inc will be there and has already deployed the updated roadmap. I bought some more Steem to power up before the event as sometimes announcements can be unexpected and given the light trading volumes, the price could move quicker.

I've heard others worried about that too. I think it will be fine.
I hope it helps a bit. The mood has been a little grim lately, I think, and some good news coming out of that would probably help improve that.
