IS STEEMIT CENTRALISED OR DECENTRALISED?

I just heard that steemit.inc is on a full power down of all it's 34 million steem power after undelegating their steem power from the dapps that they delegated steem power to. This has caused a lot of panic among steemians, saying that it could be the end of steemit.

A few months back the CEO Ned, started powering down of a lot of his steem power too and People have been trying to understand why he was powering down, leaving them very worried about the future of steemit and now seeing that steemit.inc is powering down all of it's steem power, is leaving a lot of people more panicked.

I don't know what to think right now, but I have come across some steemians who think that this power down by steemit.inc and Ned is a good thing.

They believe that it will make steemit more decentralized, because they believed that steemit has been centralized with Ned and steemit.inc running it. They believe that steemit was centralized because anytime it had problems, we ran to one central source for solutions which was Ned, but now that he seems to be leaving, this will make steemit more decentralized because, we will not be running to one source for solutions anymore.

Well, I have always thought that steemit was decentralized, but hearing this, I don't know what to think anymore.

These has made me want to ask several questions about steemit, but I will ask one question for now and subsequently ask other questions. So the first question I want to ask is that is steemit centralized or decentralized? Am just curious.

But just so you know, am with steem to the end.

Don't panic. This could in the end (later on) turn out better than we think.

Exactly and Thank you @smasssh. With people like you around for support and motivation, I won't panic😄.

It's very rarely that decisions made because of panic turn out to be good decisions.
You know the saying: 'Winners never quit and quitters never win'.

Exactly @smasssh. No quitting😄

I think the crypto market will determine very much what will happen with steem it. Not sure what to think about your article, as I am still new here, and can't judge that! Upvoted and resteemed, for your support!
