So would you buy a used submarine from [name redacted]? No? We bought four. Late nineties vintage, diesel electric, non nuclear.... Extremely quiet they said... very stealthy, won't scare the fish they said. The other Navy only drove it on Sundays they said! Mind the leaks now...

So here's what a submarine looks like in dry dock. Check the oil, and stick some new wiper blades on the periscope! (Is that a thing? No? Didn't think so...)

Here's a colour version of the photo which I've tried to make look more sinister by increasing the contrast and vibrance.

A Canadian sailor died on one of these things when it caught on fire in the Atlantic on its maiden voyage to Canada. The minister of defence from [redacted] made some waves when he said words to the effect of "let the buyer beware..."

Keep that in mind when you go shopping for zillion dollar military hardware on Ebay. Always remember to kick the torpedo tubes! Better yet, why not take several billion from the used submarine budget and build ten hospitals and a few dozen schools, you know?
