B&W Photo Contest - Landscapes - Entry 2 - Lush Canadian Summer Landscape

For my second entry into this week's bwphotocontest, I'm sharing a photo that I took last summer while on vacation with my girlfriend to Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Pictured here is one of the photos that I took while we were visiting Montreal's Botanical Garden. It was such a nice, sunny day during our visit, and it made the surroundings seem very warm, colourful, and bright.

This panoramic photo was taken while we were in an Asian-themed portion of the gardens. Behind us was a small temple/museum that described the historical uses of several plants originating from Asia. It was a neat experience getting to learn the origins of several of these plants, and the entire area was calm and peaceful. There was a very quiet oriental soundtrack playing as we walked around this section of the garden, and it felt as though we were in a true Asian monastery. I would certainly recommend that anyone go who is interested in learning a bit about Asian culture and plants. There were also guided tours available through this section, but they were all booked up on the day that we were visiting.
