Camping @ Bestbrook

This week we decided to go camping at Bestbrook Mountain Retreat which is up on the Great Dividing Range about two hours West of the Gold Coast in Australia. The reason I come here is to give my girls, who are essentially city born and bred, an opportunity to interact with the farming life and feed animals and ride horses.

Our foray into the farming/camping world has been quite a wet one so far. But the girls have had the chance to coo damper, churn butter, hand milk a cow, feed to chooks and crack a stock whip.

So far, apart from the rain, it has been good fun and it gets them outdoors and away from the devices!

A few more days to go so hopefully the weather dries out!
