New Canadian $10 Bill Was Voted Best Looking Banknote In The World.
I got a Canadian $10 bill yesterday and it really was unique. I heard that it was now in circulation a few days ago. It’s is a very rare bill in that the image is vertical and not horizontal.
The woman featured on the bill is Viola Desmond. She was a major black civil rights pioneer in Canada. She is similar to Rosa Parks. She went into a segregated movie theatre in Halifax and sat where she wasn’t allowed. She is a great role model and it is nice that she is getting more well deserved recognition.
For those who don’t know, Canadian money is very colourful. Our bills come in all sorts of colours. In the background is a map of the city of Halifax.

I don't like vertical photo on the bill. And you didn't mention that the Canadian bills are made of plastic.
Good point about the plastic. There are so many interesting things about Canadian money.
