Drying

This is the last of it. I took the last plant down a few days ago after noticing bud rot on the top cola. It was still a generous harvest, and I'm quite happy.

The humidity has made the drying and curing difficult this week. Rains and warm weather have kept the humidity between 70-90% and it slows down the drying process.

This can actually be a good thing, but it all takes attention to detail. If your hang room gets too humid you can develop bud rot. It's always a good idea to run a fan and monitor the humidity, and the hanging buds.

When the outer leaves get dry and the smaller stems snap thats a good time to move into jars. Always use a humidity monitory device the first week to stay under 70% relative humidity.

Good luck curing..

Good haul! It's satisfying seeing them hanging to dry! :)

I had no idea about processing of this plant. Now getting some flavor of it.
