Temporary Closure of Lions Head

Our Western Cape government has been criticized for closing Lions Head for rehabilitation works smack-bang in the middle of the tourist season. But they had no choice as our winter season arrives soon, and the compaction work can only be done in dry conditions.

In 2018 I managed 25 hikes up this beautiful trial. This pic was taken the Friday before Christmas.
