Capitalistic America?

Western countries really aren't all that capitalistic. A majority of the reasons I hear about why capitalism is evil and/or a failure are actually problems that can actually be traced back to statism. For example, the environment is being destroyed. Is the real reason for this capitalism? Not really. You see, it was government that banned hemp. If you aren't aware, hemp is a revolutionary plant that could be used to manufacture paper, plastic, negative carbon footprint houses, vehicles (including fuel) and so much more. The government however, puts it's own interests before ours, and they need us to rely on oil. They also benefit off our fear of climate change, as people want to give them more power by creating a carbon tax, or regulating the market even more to ensure the environments safety!
That brings me to another good point. The government needs us to rely on them, and they are awfully controlling. If they allowed us to have truly free markets, we would see in no time how much more efficient it is, and they would become obsolete. They can't have that! So instead they control, and manipulate, and tell us they are putting the citizens needs first so that we will never see it possible to live without rulers.
If that seems far fetched, let's look at what they do that is the opposite of capitalism. The government itself is a monopoly, and has created many more. A major factor in capitalism is the free markets providing competition. This ensures that we get the best quality services/products for the lowest price, and gives us the ability to choke out businesses that are doing wrong. But is this how capitalistic america is working? The answer is undoubtedly no. You might think that government subsidizing corporations is a reason why capitalism has failed, yet it is just an outcome of the government manipulating the market in their favour. They work hand in hand with these corporations, so cannot let them die. With capitalism, we would recognize the reason that business is dying and know we should let it do so. In most cases, there's no point in saving a failing business, and the government shouldn't try to.
Another issue is that corporations in general are a government creation. Without the state, corporations could not exist; rather than them taking over the world as statists will have you believe, they would have their power stripped. Just look at the definition of corporation, "a company or group of people authorized to act as a single entity (legally a person) and recognized as such in law." It is pretty clear that this is a government granted privilege; so don't get "corporation" confused with "evil big business!"
