Speaking of legacy, I got my eyes on something that some of us find would it sad

Its the abandoned Nissan P35

Well its not exactly not entirely abandoned or like that, its just this car hasn't made it debut when it is needed to be at presence, yes by the shape of it, you can tell it from way back in 90s and you know it, its the group C. It looks familiar right? you those Jaguar and Mazda with their 787B (which I'm gonna discussed later), this car was meant to ride high with them, but how come we didn't see that that car running? Well that's what I'm about to discuss and maybe put some known specification along with.

What is this car really?

So it goes back in time, where Nissan's legacy in international sports car racing starts with the one thousand horsepower R90CK that didn't quite win Le Mans in 1990 and  ends with the R390 GT1 that didn't quite win Le Mans in 1998 actually.. But there was an intermediate car that, sadly, didn't even make even it to Le Mans

Its this, the Nissan P35. It had an in-house V12 engine built for endurance racing but also to qualifications of Formula 1, wait.. Hold on, Formula 1? Like its not even Ok at all, they make their very own F1-spec V12 is never been a small undertaking and making it their own, its never been cheap, its always been an expensive program, ...That's what they said, its more a like a monopoly to me, like the Rotary demise in Le Mans? I mean take a look at other big company, sigh.

Just look at it, with twelve intake trumpets gleaming.

Well to continue, as was the standard of World Sporstscar Chamoionship starting in 1991, that means 'VT35' is a 3.5 liter engine, naturally aspirated.

Still on the engine, Nissan claims that the VRT35 produced a good horsepower not that powerful but like what a car that was only weight 750 Kg and over, yeah it was the regulation, not to mention can rev up to 11,600 rpm, this car has a potential!

One test driver, Johny O'Connel said, "about the most amazing sounding engine I have driven. It totally screamed." Being interviewed by the excellent Mulsanne's Corner.

Moving into like what makes this car almost disappear, we goes into the behind the scene

Under the direction of experienced designer Toshio Suzuka, Nissan's IMSA-weapon was constantly improved, tested and then improved again. Thanks to this commitment and perseverance Suzuka and Electramotive saw the GTP ZX-Turbo start to dominate the series. Nissan rewarded Electromotive's success by incorporating them as an official motorsport arm of the company in 1989. As the result the firm was renamed as Nissan Performance Technology Incorporated, while the NPTI keep terrorizing the world of IMSA, a stortm was brewing on the other side of the pond. IMSA GTP's counterpart, Group C had been enjoying unprecedented popularity on the European continent. In fact, the WSC was starting to threaten Formula One as the most popular form of motorsport around. That news aside as we were talking about group C, whats going on? Like nothing can get more worse, when the Japanese economy went burst, the program got axed, the once plugged endurance race in Europe, America, and even in Japan was pain in the arse, without winning anything. Yes, the program (NPTI) called out devastated first, back to japan where the Nissan Japan made a newer chassis they dubbed the NP35 (the second picture in this article) hoping making it at least work it out, sadly it failed after only ran a single race.

At the Mine Circuit 500km long, the final race of the japanese season, the car qualified fourth and finished last, 10th out of 11 starters. The whole thing broke hell loose, the program was just starting and yet it already meets its end without even set a footing.

There could've been so much going on with these prototype engine, hopes and dream where the exotic cars race a painful endurance but full of excitement, many people do hopes these such thing including me haha.

Full enclosure regarding this car and many missed point and mostly shown picture above can be found in here, and also a supportive article that helped this writing
