I dunno if I've told you this story, but when I was 12 my uncle gave me a bunch of my cousin's tennis shorts as hand me downs. I actually wore them for a long time, until a kid made fun of me for it, just once. Never wore them again
Same thing happened to me and an expensive pair of Penny Loafers my mom bought for me... Kid made fun of me and started calling me "nice shoes boy" and I refused to wear them after that. Drove my mom crazy because money.
