Se sabe que en el béisbol un jugador que no es capaz de atrapas la pelota es visto como alguien de poco valor o utilidad.
Cuestionado, es relegado al banco o separado del equipo.
Actualmente se asocia con la persona que por su carencia de dinero no es tomada en cuenta.
