EU to INTERVENE in Spanish police BRUTALITY in Catalan independence referendum

in #catalonia6 years ago

8 months after Catalonia held a referendum into becoming independent from Spain, the European Union has finally agreed to look into aggression by the Madrid government in the weeks following the all-important vote...

Better late than never ...Will it work for something?

police were accused by Human Rights Watch of using excessive force against peaceful protestors, actually not protestors just voters...

Spanish state argued they were justified in their acts as they deemed the vote to be illegal << yep to vote is ilegal ;)

Brussels did use the statement to argue violence can never be an instrument in politics but failed to intervene following the police brutality and instead continued to argue the vote was an “internal” affair. Which is the most stupid argue ever,.... like in blockchain you need miners to validate transactions,,.. IRL in politics you need "external" validation by other countries specially if you belong to a UNION... like the SEU: SCAM EUROPE UNION

Catalonian politicians were then forced to flea the country following the vote as the Spanish state prosecuted those involved in organising the referendum.

While citizens in Catalonia were kicked... in Madrid the nazis felt free to go the streets..

A number of MPs remain in prison and the Catalonian leader, Carles Puigdemont, is currently being detained in Germany after Madrid put out a European arrest warrant for his capture, arrest warrant full of lies that obviously was denied by the german judge...

In March MEPs from the European Free Alliance party wrote to President Juncker along with EU Council President Donald Tusk and the European Parliament President Antoni Tajani to urge “the European leaders and the EU institutions to stop ignoring” the actions of Madrid in Catalonia, which they argued:
“puts basic European values at stake”.

In a direct plea to the Commissioner the politicians said:

The EU cannot ignore that the Spanish State continues to prosecute its citizens, who are European citizens, on political grounds.

In our idea of Europe, politicians should not be in prison or in exile for having defended their democratic mandates and their legitimate projects in a democratic and peaceful way.

So what you gonna do EU?????? You tried to skip this problem this way:

Now we have our politicians exiled in 3 EU countries and switzerland , and many others imprisoned in Madrid ...

btw if you are catalan and you want to know more catalans in steemit, feel free to ask our discord channel, we don't talk about politics, just steemit and crypto's;)

Bastards!!!

Quina colla de fills de la gran puta! No oblidarem mai

Its sad when freedom is trampled...If they don't allow a peaceful transition, then their only choice will be less than peaceful

Independence is a right that must be taken away
But in peaceful ways
I do not like violence and hate violence

yep we will follow the exemple of hundreds of countries that took their own independence via peaceful ways... ouch! maybe we are the first ones;)

The EU wants to rule at any cost and they would have done the same instead of protecting the vulnerable they condone it
