Disaster Management
While we were getting ready for last Sunday's Supper, there was an almighty crash from upstairs. Gandalf left home like the devil was.on his tail. The Husband investigated. Nothing overly untoward, he said. The pelmet had detached itself from the curtain rail in the bedroom. No damage.
Or so we thought.
Until I went upstairs to change and discovered two wholes rent in the duvet cover. He must have had a huge fright. And fled.
New covers are not in the current budget. So.

Oh dear, what a... cat-astrophe... Scratch that, cat-aclysmic series of events. I furred the worst when I saw the title and my felines were justified. Hope you can get it fixed

Wahaha! The cat is fixed. The duvet cover is mended and the pelmet back in place. You did note the caveat:
I did but I don't want to think about things falling out the sky at the moment as I'm about to board a plane 😂

How amazing, "Until the next time the sky falls".
We heard an awesome crashing sound and I went outdoors to see what happened. Nothing of course.
Marian is busy putting all our small stuff into boxes and she packs it in a small dark room at the back next to the kitchen.
Last night she went back in there to look for something and emerged not happy at all. One box was not balanced correctly and it decided to capsize with such a force that our brand new big flask that was packed at the top exploded.
Unfortunately it cannot be patched and so now in the winter it's going to be up and down to the kitchen again to switch the kettle on for coffee and tea.
Glad your cat wasn't hurt my friend. Maybe it's going to need some counseling Lol.

Oh dear! I am sorry about the flask. Gandalf is as right as rain, thank you. His antics are enough to send The Cat's Mother for therapy!
