A sign of confidence and happiness is a great indicator of a cats living conditions and happy cats will use their purrs to show this form of emotion.

While purring is a unique sound, there are different meanings tied to the vibrating motor like sound and this doesn’t always relate to the happy feelings that a cat is experiencing. On some occasions it may be a call for attention to fulfil a need. One common necessity that many cats demand is their fill of food. They will approach actively and make it known that they are hungry with a distinguishable difference in their purr. A following meow or perhaps even screech sound will accompany this unique pitched purr to indicate the call for food or other need of attention.
