One of these particular items will the cardboard box. As simple and perhaps unappealing as it may sound, cats show great interest in simple cardboard boxes. The various toys, climbing apparatus and other items may be tossed aside for this basic box that holds many wonders and mysteries for a cat.

The nature of a box or simple bag is embedded in its design, a close space with a number of openings peaks a cats interest with great success. As they go to explore their curiosity, it resonates with their instincts that see them hide for safety and also serves as a hideout as they scope out their prey. The box becomes a location where they can confidently rest with a level of security that is not felt in an open space or high tower where they are exposed.
