Cats and Water Activities II

Cats are part of the bigger feline population that extends to their bigger and wild relatives. These bigger cats can come from both cold and hotter climates and this often effects their attitude towards water. It is common for those in warmer conditions to exhibit certain tolerance towards water and they will generally enjoy approaching water and possess capable swimming capability.

Similarly, domestic cats that are raised in warm condition will have developed similar tendencies that are deemed as more favourable towards water. While this is by no means indications that warm conditions will make a cat hydro friendly, they will generally consume water out of necessity. It may be a stretch however to ask them to dip their paws into a pool of water and swim.
