Understanding the utility of genetic inheritance is an underlying factor to success that will influence various features that will be seen within the new litter. Genetics will shape the physical features and temperamental attributes that will be inherited by the kitten as it grows. Genes work in pairs and a new kitten will inherit an equal amount of characteristics from both of its parents. Every kitten in a littler will have its own unique genetic arrangement and no kitten will ever be identical. The combination and arrangement of these genes will be random and the desired traits may not always surface.
