We bought a cat scratchie for our cats, which came in a box. Guess what the cats preferred to play with? Thats right, the box. It would have been cheaper to just buy them a cardboard box.
The best toys are always the free ones! The all time favorite scratching post was not one of the fancy ones from the pet store, but the inner tube from a roll of wall-to-wall carpeting wrapped in sisal rope. We LOVE that thing!
