Carp koi - コイ

I like these fish. They are very sociable. I had an aquarium, its bottom area was one and a half square meters, there the fry of this fish developed quite rapidly.

I bought carp the size of a matchbox, after a few months they reached a size of 15 to 20 centimeters.

Carps love cool water. For many aquarists, the cost of electricity becomes fatal in the development of their hobby. Karpam water can not be heated. This should be done only for the prevention of certain diseases.

This, one of the oldest fish, which was bred for food. The roots of koi carp are found in Japan. As the literature says, there are 14 species of this carp. These are pure breeds. They are determined by body shape and color.

If you decide to buy a carp in a pet store and it costs cheap, you know, it's a half-breed, or culling. A real koi car in the first, second generation, can exceed the cost, not the cheapest car.

One day I was invited to visit Japan with the purpose of acquiring Karpov Koi. There are companies that organize tours to Japan on Koi farms. At that time, I was just starting to develop my pet store and for me, ten years ago, the costs were too big.

As my practice has shown, koi carp and other carp fish with oblong body are more resistant to diseases than those with a globular body, such as telescopes, lionheads, valeleths.
The exception is the water eyes, they have an elongated body, but the balls filled with liquid in the eye area are often damaged and the fish dies.

Carp, the fish that you want to advise beginners in aquarium. But, newcomers, mistakenly believe that the smaller the aquarium, the easier it is to serve it. This is not true. And yet, the fish is a living creature and it needs to create a kind of spaciousness, and not a semblance of cans for anchovies.
