White night in 5th microdistrict
While the car was being repaired, I started walking and taking pictures in my area of the city. At first, I struggled with my ego and tried to overcome resentment...the circumstances, the universe. How come? After all, I'm used to this kind of lifestyle, where I travel to all sorts of back streets, villages, and natural places, but here I can't walk further than the area...
I discovered rolling scooters...Yeah, for the first time in my life, I rode an electric scooter and even had fun.
Later in future posts, I will mention scooters, how they helped me make a photo essay.
In the meantime, one of the most accessible and atmospheric places is the Osanovskoye field and the neighborhood in which I live.
It was the peak of the white nights, where sunset turned smoothly into dawn.
For some reason, I hadn't noticed this phenomenon before, even though I lived even further north, which meant the nights were even brighter.
For the first time, I saw illuminated reddish sunset clouds hanging on the horizon in the middle of the night, which only became brighter by dawn.
I wonder what my final conclusion will be after fixing the car? (spoiler alert: already on wheels).
Since 2013, I haven't had a break from driving a car for more than a week, and here it's been a month and a half on foot.
And that's what's amazing! Coincidentally, I won a hefty cash prize in a photo contest, where my car repair costs are easily covered.
Maybe the universe was waiting for the moment when I would have the funds for an expensive repair in order to carry it out...because it was already impossible to wait.
Or maybe I should have thought about upgrading my bike, which I had already forgotten about and hadn't ridden for several years? (spoiler alert again: I thought about it and made an upgrade).
I don't know what it all means...maybe nothing at all. Maybe that's what I'll give it all meaning for myself. There will be many more walking and two-wheeled posts about all sorts of things...In any case, everything turned out as it should be. But it was as if I hadn't lived these six weeks...
