I've listed a few reasons why Cebu City is one of the best places to visit. Here are they:

As I've said earlier, the people in Cebu are very approachable. You can ask them for directions and they would be more than glad to help you. Plus, they can speak and understand Tagalog and English very well. Language barrier isn't really much of a problem if you're going to visit Cebu.

• White sand beaches.

It's not as excellent as Boracay but the beaches of Cebu are definitely beautiful in their own rights. Most of them are well-maintained which you can truly enjoy. There are a lot of resorts and beaches that you can choose around Cebu. There's a whole lot of options depending on your budget. Plus, you can also enjoy island hopping in Cebu! There are a lot of breath-taking islands there that you'd surely lovely to visit!

• The famous Lechon Cebu is timeless and will leave you wanting for more!

Aside from that, there's a lot of restaurants in Cebu that you can try. The streetfoods are a must-try and, of course, there are food expos and night markets that you can always visit.

• Sinulog Festival.

The mother of all festivals in the Philippines. It's definitely a huge celebration among Cebuanos every year. There are a lot of religious activities during the said festival. It's also jam-packed with tourists because of its parties, street dancing, dance competitions and a lot of other activities! Most of the hotels are fully-booked during Sinulog Festival, so if you're planning to join this festivity, better plan ahead to avoid inconveniences.

• Cebu has a world-class international airport that the Philippines can be proud of.

Imagine a resort inside an airport! Who would've thought such thing could exist in our country? Recently, Mactan-Cebu International Airport has opened its new port for International Flights. The previous building will be used for Domestic Flights for destinations inside the Philippines. Absolutely world-class!

• It has a lot of historical places that were preserved to remind the people of our rich culture.

One example is Mactan Shrine where the battle between Datu Lapu-Lapu and Ferdinand Magellan happened - is a pure historic city with lots amazing history the Philippines should be proud of. We also have Fort San Pedro and Museo Sa Sugbu which shows the rich history of Cebu.

• Education systems.

If you're planning to live here in Cebu permanently and you're worrying about schools, then worry no more! The universities here arr very much competitive and has shown impressive track records throughout the years. Cebu colleges and universities had produced a great number of topnotchers in different licensure examinations - not to mention Accountancy, Engineering and Medical Technology courses!

• Old churches.

• Flower farms, extreme adventures, citylights!

This list is definitely not enough to tell you all the reasons why you should try visiting Cebu. Like other places, it also has its own share of imperfections. But despite its negative side, it is a place that you can still call a paradise and might be able to take your stress away. The people and the places that you can visit in Cebu are definitely worth your money. It wouldn't be a top tourist destination for nothing.
