FESTIVE DAY: EID MUBARAK

Today is sallah day in my country meaning it's the Eid Mubarak all over the world today. Joint celebration everywhere among my Islam brothers and sisters. We are going to eat and drink till we are filled.

People on my street will be killing there rams and cow today while some did yesterday. I may not have the opportunity to taste any cos I am on my way to work now. The air is filled with celebration, the roads are free with few cars. I love Muslim celebrations because it changes the whole atmosphere and makes everyone feel like it's their birthday. Well I feel like it's my birthday though with only the exception of me being at work.

Eid Mubarak or (Arabic: عيد مبارك‎) is an Arabic term that means “Happy Festival”. The term is used by Arab Muslims, as well as Muslims all over the world. [source: google]

So we are merry and happy cos rice and meat will be plenty for us all. I hope I get to taste my sallah meat today. There is always a special taste that comes with this meat.

I wish my fellow brothers and sisters in Islam a happy celebration on this festive day. Wishing those who went to Meccah a safe journey back home.
