This Rare Chicken 100% Black from Its Feathers to Its Internal Organs and its name is Ayam Cemani. This eye-catching bird is a rare species of chicken from Indonesia and it’s all black look has made it one of the most unusual and mysterious breeds.

Every part of this distinct bird is black, from its metallic quills to its onyx feet. It even has pitch-black inner organs, an effect caused by a condition called fibromelanosis, a harmless genetic mutation that causes extra melanin to ooze into the bird’s tissue. This progress happens in embryo, resulting in wonderfully dark Cemani chicks.

Ayam Cemani has inspired Indonesian since the 12th century, when it was considered a bird for the exclusive. Its charcoal-coloured blood is rumoured to be a delicacy of spirits that bring power and wealth, making it a good luck charm.
