Censorship And De-Platforming

As a European based individual, I can't help notice that all these companies that are censoring and de-platforming are all American based corporations. Isn't it time to start using services based elsewhere in the world that are not susceptible to the ongoing stuggle between left and right in American politics?

Decentralised ultimately is the answer. However, I was even disappointed to see that Steemit is based in America. The future of the free web has to be decentralised and non American based I feel.
