A question for migrants (or psychologist)

Has it ever happened to you that at the least expected moment, your mind takes you on a flashback, and suddenly you find yourself in a place or situation you were used to live in your country of origin?

It happens a lot to me, even after 3 years. It isn't about thinking and remembering old times... it's a sudden brief feeling, of being transported to a place, like a traffic light on your commute ride, or a section of a shopping mall, or the random little tree by the bus stop, or a forgotten hallway at college....nothing special, rather ordinary, too normal, quite insignificant for our conscious memory, something you wouldn't normally remember, but it surprises you anyways, at a moment it wasn't supposed to.

Not too long ago, it happened to me but with a different country, in which I lived very shortly. I thought this was even weirder, because I thought I was only longing for Venezuela. And this time it wasn't the regular place flashback... it was even more complex, it was more like the sensory combo (smells, sounds, temperature... the feeling of that particular time)

What I find more intriguing is the exact moment in which this flashbacks occur. Can you guess which moment is this Write your guess in the comments, let's see who gets it right.

This is a real thing? I always thought it was just in the movies.

Thanks to @anouk.nox, this post was resteemed and highlighted in today's edition of The Daily Sneak.

Thank you for your efforts to create quality content!

Well it happens to me..I'd say they are unexpected images that come to my mind. It didn't happen to me before I left my country, so I assume it has to do with the migration process. By writing it here I was trying to find out if anyone else has experienced it, but no one answered.
I mentioned psychologists, because they might have a name and explanation for it. I've never visited one because I don't consider it an issue, it doesn't hurt me or make me sad....It's just something a little unusual and I thought it was worth to share.

Thank you very much for getting interested ,commenting and resteeming. And of course, thanks to @anouk.nox for I considering my post to highlight it in the Daily Sneak. You guys do an awesome job.
