Cecilias: la familia de anfibios menos conocidos pero no menos interesantes

Características de la familia Caeciliidae
Esta familia de anfibios modernos es el menos conocido y lo constituyen las Cecilias las cuales son anfibios apodos, estos anfibios corresponden a 205 especies.
- No poseen extremidades
- Tienden a vivir en túneles bajo el suelo
- son carnívoros pero su alimentación varía
- pliegues dermales que forman anillos al rededor del cuerpo
- poseen escamas dermicas
A demás poseen un órgano sensorial en forma de un par de tentáculos que puede extender y extraer, uno a cada lado del rostro y entre los ojos, pueden ser completamente acuáticos
Como pueden notar en la imagen su ojos se encuentra situados bajo la piel, debido al habito de vivir bajo tierra no hace uso de ellos, algunas especies los pierden por completo.
