Greetings to my followers, it is always good to improvise with Corel because you can take great surprise, this morning I decided to try for the first time an illustration of a wolf owl combining digital watercolor and oils, note that digital watercolor is widely used for illustration of comics for its visual clarity but combine it with the Oils gave me a nice finish in the feathers, I hope you enjoy it.

Saludos a mis seguidores, siempre es bueno improvisar con Corel porque puedes llevarte grandes sorpresa, esta mañana decidí probar por primera vez una ilustración de un mochuelo de hoyo combinando la acuarela digital y el oils, notese que la acuarela digital es muy utilizada para la ilustración de comics por su nitidez visual pero combinarla con el Oils me dio un bonito acabado en las plumas, espero lo disfrutes.

TOOLS / HERRAMIENTA DE PINTURA

As everyone knows, my art starts with a quick sketch, which I can execute either in digital pen 2b or pen, in this case use the second option.

Como todos saben mi arte empieza con un boceto rápido, que lo puedo ejecutar tanto a lápiz digital 2b o pluma, en este caso emplee la segunda opción.

The hole owl is very different from a common owl, they have a different plumage and eye, their anatomy is less stubby, it is the first time I paint one so use this image to guide me with colors and anatomy. You can see the difference of the finish of both brushes when putting them together I will present you the final result.

El mochuelo de hoyo es muy distinto a un búho común, estos tienen un plumaje y ojo distinto, su anatomía es menos rechoncha, es primera vez que pinto uno así que emplee esta imagen para guiarme con los colores y la anatomía. Puedes ver la diferencia del acabado de ambos pinceles al juntarlos te presentare el resultado final.

As I explain in the image I first paint sections of the owl creating layers with the digital watercolor and then review the pen with the Oils, eye to create a realistic pen I must create the texture.

*Como lo explico en la imagen primeramente pinto secciones del búho creando capas con la acuarela digital para luego repasar la pluma con el Oils, ojo para crear una pluma realista debo crear la textura.
