I and Nkem matriculated together in the university as a matter of fact I knew him the very first day we resumed school the passion in his eyes the carriage of doggedness and the aura of seriousness was the impression I had of him .as a matter of fact we became course mates so I asked him some few days after matriculation why the gra-gra why the so much hassle the passion in which he answered was some experience I can’t get over because of how challenged I was by his response he said he was pursuing a 5.0 result meaning all Asssss in exam and he had even pasted it on his Locker in the room and even went on to paste it on the door in his room …. friends that’s indeed intimating I who was proud about my desire of getting a comfortable 2:1 result sounded as if I had come to school to joke …….Four year after……. Two more papers to our final year exams Nkem was caught alongside with some colleagues with incriminating materials in the exam hall and as a result all of them were expelled. Hmmm just 2 more papers to be a Graduate even though as at that time his result was in the third class range with a CGPA of about 1.8,...surprised??astonished…..astound …. The whole school was with one single and ever bugging question WHAT WENT WRONG??? The answer was apparent WRONG FRIENDS...BAD COUSINS

Friends the less you associate with some people,the more your life will improve. As you grow your associates will change. Some of your friends will not want you to go on. They will want you to stay where they are .one truth most youths don’t know is that friends that don’t help you climb will want you to crawl. Your friends will stretch and strengthen your vision or choke your dream. Those that don’t increase you will eventually decrease you.

Never receive counsel from unproductive people. Never discuss your problems with someone incapable of contributing to the solution,because those who never succeed themselves are always the first to tell you how. Not everyone has a right to speak into your life. You are certain to get the worst bargain when you exchange ideas with the wrong person . Don't follow anyone who is not going anywhere. One thing about life is that if you don’t know where you are going any where would look like it.
With some people you spend an evening, with others you invest it. Be careful where you stop to inquire for directions along the road of life. Wise is the person who fortifies his life with the right friendships cos if you run with wolfs you will learn how to howl but, if you associate with eagles, you will learn to soar to great heights. A mirror reflects a man’s face but what he is really like is shown by the kind of friends he chooses. The simple true fact of life is that you become like those whom you associate for the good and the bad.
