1/2 marathon training - first week

I signed up to the 2019, Cardiff 1/2 marathon (13.1miles) and so I'd like to keep track of training and progress. I'm sharing it here, not only as a record, but as motivation. By sharing it with the community, I'm hoping that the words of encouragement will keep me motivated and push me to better myself.

Last weeks stats show I made it out only 3 times. Monday and Tuesday were only little 2mile jogs and Friday was a 5miler. My timers are pretty consistent and over the short distances I'm keeping it under 9min per mile.

Im hoping that with 6 months still to go till the big day, I can keep that pace up and get my 1/2 marathon time under 2 hours. My PB for 13.1miles is currently 2h3min4sec (02:03:04). I'm sure I'll have a few people comment that that's not particularly fast, but factor in that I'm almost 18st (252lb) and that's not bad.
