Bitcoin Cash, #bch, is already doing something similar. The difference is just that #bch can only be sent to some countries in the EU, Asia, South Africa. The service is not available in other African countries like Nigeria. Hopefully, the android version of MetalPay is rolled out and it will work well in Nigeria.
