The company FC Chelsea today released its financial report for June 30, 2017, and the club recorded a record turnover of funds, which led to a profit of £ 15.3 million.

The turnover of the group of companies grew to £ 361.3 million from £ 329.1 million in the previous year, an increase of 9.8%. Revenues from the sale of rights to broadcast matches increased after the team returned to the Champions League, taking the first place in the Premier League last season, and after the agreements concluded in the Premier League with the channels that broadcast the matches came into effect.

The revenues from Chelsea's commercial activities also grew after the conclusion of several cooperation agreements with companies, especially with the sponsor of our Carabao training form.

Tickets for the "Bridge" in the days of matches are sold out in full, and the prices for tickets for this season remained at the level of the 2011/12 season. However, incomes on the days of matches in the 2016/17 season decreased slightly due to the fact that the club did not participate in UEFA tournaments.

Although the club last year suffered operational losses, Chelsea managed to "go into the plus", earning on the sale of players £ 69.2 million. These data show that the club is able to meet the requirements of UEFA regarding financial fair play.

It is assumed that revenues will grow in the season 2017/18. This will be greatly facilitated by the club's partnership with Nike, an agreement on which was signed on July 1, 2017. This was the biggest deal in the history of the club. Also, the growth of revenues will contribute to the participation of "Chelsea" in the UEFA Champions League.

Chairman Bruce Buck said: "It is very pleasant that the team's success on the field in the 2016/17 season was accompanied by commercial growth. Our company continued to develop, working for the long term, and was able to record a record turnover, despite the fact that "Chelsea" did not participate in the Champions League in the previous reporting period. "

"Our fans played a big role, they supported the team and helped the guys to become champions of the Premier League, because they always came to the matches, supported the players massively, and the constantly growing number of fans around the world allowed us to conclude new partnership agreements. We thank our fans, partners and employees for the successful season 2016/17 ".

The parent company for FC Chelsea, Fordstam Limited, which is responsible for the non-football-related activities of the group of companies, incurred a total loss of £ 14.2 million in connection with the costs of planning the construction of the new stadium, as well as due to non- The activities of subsidiaries related to football.
