Steemit Daily Chess Tournament #1 - earn SBD

Do you like to play chess? I am hosting a daily/correspondence Steemit Chess tournament. You can even earn some SBD!

How to participate

• If you don't already have an account, sign up to chess.com. There are some priced account options, but to participate in this tournament there is no paid account necessary. Just select the free option during the signup process.
• Go to the Steemit Tournament via this link, and click the Join button.
• Let me know your Chess.com account name via the comments of this post, so I can link your Steemit and Chess.com account name in case they are different.
• Upvote & resteem this post.

Rules

• The tournament is a Round-robin variant where you play as white and black against every competitor in your group.
• Groups are sized to a maximum of 4, so you're never playing more than 6 games simultaneously.
• Only the first in its group advances to the next round.
• You have one day for each turn. If you fail to do this in time, the game is over and your opponent wins. Chess.com offers vacation-mode in some tournaments, but this is disabled for this tournament to prevent waiting times of months.
• The tournament starts one week after this post: February 4th.
• If you are suspected of cheating you will be eliminated from the tournament. No discussion: cheating is very obvious thanks to various analysis tools.

What are the prices

• All SBD earned with this post will be paid in equal parts to all group winners. When the next round begins, I'll write a new Steemit post where this rule is also applied, until the tournament is over.
• I (@pgarama) will participate in the tournament as well, but will exclude myself from prices in case of winning. In case I become first in a group, the number 2 will receive the price money.
