Black Queen Out too Early and Trapped - Game#33steemCreated with Sketch.

White opened P-K4 and P-K5. Black opened P-Q4 and P-K3.

As a general rule you don’t attack with your Queen alone in the opening game. There are many exceptions. The results of the Queen out to early many times end with the Queen being capture or the King defense and position being destroyed. This game is a very good example of the Queen being out to early and alone trying to attack.

The opening game for both players is a traditional book opening so no problem there for either player. The bad play starts when black check the white King with its Queen. The black Queen captures a Pawn and has a two Pawns advantage. However a Queen alone on the opponent side of the board always gives the opponent many options to challenge that Queen and win a significant advantage. That is exactly what happens here.

White Knight moves to King/Knight/five, into position to check the black King at the same time attacking the black Rook. Black is defending that move with his Queen but a white Pawn challenge the black Queen and the Queen can no longer defend the attack.

Black tries to minimize the attack by sacrificing the black Queen but completely miscalculate. Easy win for white.
