Tough Comeback Win in a Wild Game#35steemCreated with Sketch.

in #chess5 years ago

Black and White both opened with text book opening. White opened with P-K4 and P-Q4. Black opened with P-K4 and N-KB3. It was an enjoyable back and forth game.

The white Queen was out very early but followed up quickly with a Bishop and a Knight. White mounted a strong and forceful attack on the black Queen and King position. White continued to bring pieces to attack the black King position.

White had very strong position and played very forceful but black successfully defended the attacks while still developing its pieces at the same time.

Black offered a Knight and Rook gambit which white accepted the Rook. This allowed black to position a second Knight to check the white King. White did not defend the possible attack on the white King.

Black check the white King with the Knight instead of defending the black Queen/Rook as expected.  Black then captured a white Rook for a piece advantage and the white King was exposed for more attacks.

White gained the piece advantage back but was outplayed in the end game. Very good comeback win for black against a strong opponent.
