Zhou Dingshuang clearly does not want her disabled brother to miss out on anything.

So when her parents started debating whether or not to let him study, she offered to step in to help.

It is not known whether Zhou's brother was born unable to walk or if he was involved in an accident, but their bond is clearly unbreakable.

Pictures show the caring Zhou putting on her 12-year-old brother's shoes for him before helping him get to class.

The pair live and study at the same boarding school and special arrangements have been made so they can stay together.

To help him, the strong and selfless little girl, from Guangnan county in southwest China, carries her sibling on her back so he can get around.

Their dorm room is only 500 metres away from the classroom but Zhou carries him there each day.

And in the heartwarming video the pair can be seen working as a team, because while Zhou gives her brother a piggyback he wraps his arms tightly around her while clutching an umbrella to shelter them from the drizzle.

Liu Yan from Heizhigue Township Centre School said: "Because of Zhou and her brother's status, we decided to arrange a special room for them."

And when the pair are back home, Zhou also helps her parents with the housework.

She said: "Sometimes I come home to dry seeds, prepare food, help my parents wash clothes and teach my brother to write Hanzi."

Not wanting her brother to miss out on anything she added: "I'll be his legs. I'll be with him forever."
