Remembering Tianmen Square but who remembers Falun GongsteemCreated with Sketch.

Mainstream media news outlets write about the 30th anniversary of the Tianmen Square massacre, and the fight of the protester survivors that fight for it not to be forgotten. Its an anniversary that is not celebrated in China as it is a sensitive issue.

So sensitive they banned Taylor Swift's "TS 1989" T-Shirt.

What China seemed to have managed was to make the world forget about a more recent event that cost much more lives. That is the ongoing persecution of Falun Gong that started 20 years ago. The fact that you are reminded of the Tianmensquare Massacre but not the ongoing Falun Gong persecution that costs the life of as much people every year shows that China has won. There is no mainstream media report about Falun Gong persecution. Just a few frustrated people that write about it from abroad, because the people that are being killed for being Falun Gong, and are not privileged enough to be not affected by this issue, cannot write about it.

These deaths are not open in public, but they happen behind closed doors, in torture chambers where they get tortured to death or in hospital rooms where their organs get removed while they are still alive. Their deaths are much more violent and numerous, but we don't see them. Hence we find it harder to care.

I admit I had never heard about that before.

you mean about tianmen square massacre? :o its the day after the brave tank man image was taken.

these same tanks have crushed thousands people the night before and he just stands there infront of the tank at a military parade. the china uncensored yt channel has serveral interviews with survivors, one of which lost both of his legs as a tank was rolling over him.

The Falun Gong Persecution... Never heard of it.

but i wrote about it serveral times O.o my title picture is about it... since 20 years falun gong is an illegal religion and they are kept in internment camps where they work as slaves for foreign companies. they are regularely tortured and sleep where they work. during tortures they are killed or taken to hospitals to be killed for organs. per year it is estimated that china has 72 000 organ transplants where most organs are falun gong. foreigners can go to china and buy organs cheaply. since recent years muslims in the xinjiang province of china have increasingly fallen victim to this religious persecutions aswell. uighurs cannot get a passport and simple things like praying, not drink alcohol or wear a hijab is for chinese authorities indicators of 'religios extremism' where they go without trial into concentration camps. the slave labor and organ trade is very profitable for china. VW is building a factory in xinjiang to use this free labor. VW is also responsible for using slave laborcamps during the brasilian dictatorship and during the german dictatorship. they even make jokes about the 'arbeit macht frei' phrase used by the nazis and show no remorse.

Sometimes it seems like humanity doesn't evolve... at all. Thanks for the information. Keep raising awareness about it!
