The double-minded person is inconstant in almost all areas of his life, it is not only about the religious part, but generally. These people have a slightly messy or incomplete life, since the double mood does not allow them to finish what they start, they are people who get bored quickly of everything... they start something and then they are no longer encouraged to continue.

The word of God gives us the best definition of these people:

James 1:8

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Here we see that it refers to ALL his ways, that is to say that the double-mind interferes in the whole life of these people.

Another way that influences this is in dealing with people and commitment, these people are committed to someone and then the next day they no longer fulfill what they promised or do not attend to the commitment.

James 5:12

But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

Here it refers to the oaths, but it is not just the oaths, when we commit ourselves to someone, we must comply, because the testimony is important. When a person commits and always fails to comply, this person loses credibility and is not taken seriously, his words are not credible or taken seriously.

In these cases the person must pray a lot so that God removes that from his life the double-mind and do his part, fulfill what he promises and strive to finish what begins. Do not let discouragement dominate you, because the word of God also tells us that God has given us spirit of self-control.
