For a believer to succeed in the Christian race, he must know why he is in the race, must desire to remain m the race and be sure what to do to accomplish the race.

To stand fast in God means to give up every habit and manner that is not pleasing to God and to determined not to fall by the way. One must also be involved in studying the word of God.

There are enemies within in form of deceivers and counterfeit leaders who are agents to Satan. This is why one must watch out against such by standing fast to maintain a stability of faith and not tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine. Now, there are spirit beings of various demonic ranks and we should know that the Christian faith is not a carnal one, the Christian faith is a spiritual battle field.

"Therefore put on the whole armor of Christ that ye maybe able to stand against the devices of the devil."

There are some things that can or may hinder our steadfastness, such as list of the eye, or list of the flesh, greed double minded, prayerlesness, inability to share the word of God to the unsaved. And must especially when the word of God is been talked about in the place where you are you get angry. e.t.c when we find ourselves in a situation as this, just know that our faith is not guaranteed.

Now, there are ways we can standfast in the Lord: the bible said:

"For they that are led by the spirit of God , they are the sons and daughters of God"

We must try our best possible to give Godly attention to our families and our vocations so as to make a positive impression for the Lord. And by so doing we would not miss out on the benefits of being steadfast in the Lord. Of course, in whatever we do as believers to please God, there are always benefits or reward to such believers.
