Persecuted for Righteousness
Divine inspiration still from the book of Daniel 6: 1-15
Daniel once again has distinguished himself under the new administration of Darius the Mede that the king was planning to set him over the whole kingdom.
As is usual whenever a righteous man is in a place of authority, evil men will become threatened because they know that their evil ways will no longer prosper, others too, may oppose him out of jealousy.
Daniel was so righteous that no complaint can be brought against him except in relation to Gods word. Can this be said about you and I today? Or would they not find it easy to accuse of late coming, nepotism, theft, embezzlement, gossip, and maligning our colleague or boss etc.
We in modern times have not exactly magnified the Christian character. If we fail in the courts of men, how can we succeed before the court of heaven!
We also Daniel is that he was so confident that even when he knew that the decree has been passed he still went to pray and he went to the upper chamber where he could be seen easily. What boldness!
Word for Today:
When Daniel knew that the document has been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chambers.He got down on his knees three times sin a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he has done previously v 10.

Help me to so distinguish your name by the kind of excellent service that I render to you, opposition notwithstanding.
