“THE PURPOSE OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURE”
2 TIMOTHY 3:14-17

I. IT SERVE THE PURPOSE OF REVELATION.v14-15
Note: Revelation is the process of God telling the original author exactly what he wanted to say.

• It Reveal God’s Person.
• It Reveal God’s Power.
• It Reveal God’s Promises.
• It Reveal God’s Plan.

II. IT SERVE THE PURPOSE OF REDEMPTION.v15b

• It Demonstrate the Wickedness Of The Sinners.
• It Demonstrate The Wrath Of The Sovereign.
• It Demonstrate The Way Of Salvation.
• It Demonstrate The Worth Of every Souls.

III. IT SERVE THE PURPOSE OF REINFORCEMENT.v16-17
Note: verse 16-17 speaks of the benefits that can be derived from a careful and close study of the Bible.

• It Build Us Up Through Their Standards.
• It Build Us Up Through The Symbols.

God has blessed us beyond our ability to comprehend! He has given us an inspired inerrant record of Himself, His will and His ways. May we take this blessed book. May we love it, read it and carry it in our hearts, assuring ourselves in the fact that it is truth! And it will develop us, feed us, lead us and teaches us all the way home to Heaven.
