Doctrine Studies: Calvinism

Calvinism is summed up in the acronym TULIP:

Total Depravity - That man is utterly spoilt and can contribute nothing to his salvation, because they inherit Adam's sin guilt. Debunked by Romans 1:18-32 Specifically Verse 18: "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them." The evil person knows what is good, but decides to do wrong in fact at the end God says they: "but have pleasure in them" they enjoy doing wrong.

Unconditional election-Nothing of your person has convinced God to choose you to be saved nor on the basis of what you do.

Limited atonement- That Jesus did not die for all mankind, but only for a few. Refuted by John 3:16 For God so loved the world. World mean the world aka EVERYONE! You just have to accept it as a free gift. 1 John 2:1-2 and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

Irresistible Grace -Teaches that man has no free will to come to God for salvation. Refuted by Luke 7:30 where the pharisees reject the council of God. Showing free will.

Perseverance of the saints- God preserves you to the end and you will make it to heaven. Apostasy is impossible. Refuted by Hebrews 10:10 1 Peter 2:20

I did not go into it very deeply, but the few verses should be enough for an introduction.

It is very unbiblical yet a massive amount of people believe this crap.
