Is the old testament valid or obsolete because it has that qualification?

The Bible is a set of books in which the divine revelation related to the chosen people of Israel is collected. God created man to make him part of his intimate life, to establish a loving relationship with him.
With little success, at the time of translation, the Latin word "testament" was chosen to translate the Greek term "diateke" which means: last will of a person, and also, pact or alliance. Both the Old and the New Testaments deal with a covenant, an alliance.
Biblical studies give great importance to this concept. In the Old Testament there are multiple alliances between God and various biblical characters.
When we read "old testament" in certain editions of the Reina-Valera Version (as well as "old testament" in other versions) in 2Co 3:14 it is wrong. There are modern translations that present the correct reading, "old covenant" or "old covenant", in that place. Here the apostle Paul is not referring to the Hebrew and Aramaic Scriptures in their entirety. Nor does he mean that the inspired Christian writings constitute a "new testament (covenant)". The apostle speaks of the Law, which was recorded by Moses in the Pentateuch and which makes up only a part of the Scriptures that existed before Christianity. For this reason he says in the following verse 2Co 3:15: "when Moses is read." Therefore, there is no valid basis for calling "The Old Testament" or "The Old Testament" to the Hebrew and Aramaic Scriptures, nor to call "The New Testament" to the Christian Greek Scriptures. Jesus himself referred to the collection of sacred writings with the expression "the Scriptures." (Mt 21:42; Mr 14:49; Jn 5:39.) The apostle Paul called this collection "the holy Scriptures," "the Scriptures," and "the holy writings." (Ro 1: 2; 15: 4; 2Ti 3:15.) "
This way that we should call "the Scriptures" and "the written saints" can never be a testament because this is a term used when someone who dies leaves written his last wish ...

@legaravito The scriptures record the teachings that God communicates to us through the prophets and apostles, therefore they are valid forever. Reading and studying the word of God gives us many blessings.
