INTRODUCTION
The bible admonished us (Christians) to have the kind of mind that is/was in Christ Jesus if truly we have fellowship of the spirit with him. Phil 2:1
It is not enough to be regular church member but Christ-Like attitude must distinguish us from other people. Act 4:13. The disciples were seen, named and identified through their like minded attitude with Christ Jesus Act 11:26.
The mind of Christ is farther discussed under the following:
- Love and other fruits of the spirit Gal 5:22-25,1 John 2:10-11
- Mind that is dead to sin and quicken unto righteousness Rom. 8:14, 6:1-12, 1peter2:24
- The mind of the spirit being holy spirit- controlled Rom 8:14
- Mind that is pure, sin free and concentrated unto God 2Tim 2:19-22,2Timl:3
- Mind occupied with things above, matters of the kingdom. Col.3:2
QUESTION S FOR DISCUSSION
- Explain the mind of Christ in your own view
- Can our mind be symbolical to that of Christ? Phil 2:5 -
- Distinguish between mind and spirit
CONCLUSION:
A mind that is not symbolical to that of Christ is total void of Godliness, arid caimot see God. We are enjoined to have a mind patterned after Christ Heb. 12:12
