Forget All the Ghost Stories You’ve Known Until Now.

영적 이야기처럼 가짜가 또 어디 있을까요?

What could be faked more than ghost stories?

특히 귀신이야기는 많은 사람들이 호기심을 갖고 있는 주제여서 영화나 소설, TV드라마의 단골소재이기도 합니다.

Stories about ghosts and demons are [perfect subjects for the creative minds; there are many books, shows, and movies about them.

그렇다면 그 내용은 신빙성이 있을까요?

So… how true are they?

결론부터 말하자면, 거의 가짜라고 보면 됩니다.

Long story short, you can say most are fake.

대부분 출처를 알 수 없는 내용이거나 상상력을 동원한 작가의 작품이다. 물론 필자도 입만 열면 귀신이야기를 하고 있습니다.

Most are made-up stories you can’t pinpoint its origin; of course, I myself tell a lot of stories of demons and ghosts.

그러나 저는 그동안의 경험에서 나온 이야기를 합니다. 그러나 제 주장이 진짜인지 아닌지를 분별하는 것은 여러분의 몫이죠.

I speak from my past experience. But it’s your job to decide to listen.

그러나 제 신분이 목사이고, 날마다 귀신을 쫓아내고 정신질환과 고질병을 치유하는 게 사역이므로, 제 주장을 분별하는 것은 어렵지 않습니다.

It shouldn’t be too hard to make a decision, for my job as a pastor is to chase demons and heal illness on a daily basis.

제가 귀신을 쫓아내고 고질병을 치유한 사람들을 만나서 확인해보면 되죠.

You can meet the people I’ve helped and ask them.

물론 그들 대부분은 영성학교의 공동체 식구로 남아 있습니다. 그러므로 영성학교에 찾아와서 날카롭게 살펴보면 됩니다.

Of course, most still come to CSA, so you’re welcome to come and see them for yourself.

그러나 발품을 파는 것은 여러분의 몫입니다.

But it’s your job to come.

굳이 충주의 시골까지 찾아오지 않더라도, 다음 카페나 네이버 블로그에 그동안 일어났던 사건에 대해 자세히 기록해 놓았습니다.

You don’t have to come all the way to CSA; I’ve uploaded everything that has happened here online, in minute details.

그러나 수천 개의 글들이 있으니 들어가서 찾는 것도 그리 쉽지는 않을 겁니다.ㅎ

There are thousands of columns there, so I guess it won’t be too easy to read everything.

그래서 오늘은 세간에 알려진 귀신에 대한 이야기가 진짜인지 아닌지, 그간 제 경험으로 얻어낸 데이터를 비추어서 말씀드리겠습니다.

So I would like to talk about whether statements about demons are true or false.

어떤가요? 흥미롭지 않습니까?

How does that sound? Interested?

1. 귀신은 교회와 교인들에게 얼씬거리지 못한다.

2. Demons cannot come to Christian church and its people.

이 이야기처럼 새빨간 거짓말이 없습니다. 이런 투의 이야기를 생산하고 유통하는 이들은 대부분 목사이거나 교인들이예요.

This is a total lie. This kind of statements is often created by Christians.

그러나 이들이 귀신과 싸워 본 사람들은 거의 없죠.

But most of them never fought against spirits before.

그들이 이렇게 말하는 것은, 귀신이 두려워서 말하는 것 뿐입니다.

They say such thing out of fear.

성경을 보세요. 예수님은 물론 베드로, 가룟유다를 두려워하지 않고 유혹하려 들었으며, 아나니아와 삽비라 등의 초대교인들을 유혹해서 지옥으로 끌고 갔습니다.

Read the Bible. Satan wasn’t afraid to tempt Peter, Judas Iscariot, and even Jesus; he also dragged early Christians to Hell, including Ananias and Sapphira.

그런데 우리네 교회의 목사들과 교인들을 두려워한다고요? 기가 막히는 거짓말입니다.

And they say spirits are scared of Christians? Too funny.

1. 귀신을 보았다.

2. Spirits can be seen

귀신을 보았다는 사람들이 적지 않습니다.

There are many who claim to have seen spirits.

그러나 하나님과 천사를 본 사람들은 없죠.

But not many claim to have seen God or angels.

아니 똑같은 영적 존재인데, 하나님과 천사들은 보지 못했는데 귀신만 보았다는 이들이 적지 않은 게 기이하지 않습니까?

I mean, they’re all spiritual beings; isn’t it strange that only demons are visible to the eyes?

제게 귀신을 보았거나 본다는 사람들이 적지 않게 찾아왔습니다.

There are many who came to CSA that claim they can see ghosts.

그러나 그들은 죄가 귀신들이 잠복한 사람으로, 필자가 축출기도로 쫓아내 주었습니다.

But all of them had demons hiding inside them; I chased them out.

그들이 말하는 것은 거짓말이 아니지만, 귀신들이 시각세포와 망막을 조종하여 환상을 보게 만드는 겁니다.

They weren’t lying, but they were manipulated by demons to see them.

환청과 환각은 정신분열의 기본적인 증상이며, 정신분열의 원인은 귀신이 잠복해서 뇌를 장악하고 조종하여 뇌기능이 망가진 상태이죠.

Auditory and visual hallucinations are common symptoms of schizophrenia; it is usually caused by demons to take over one’s body.

그러나 이렇게 주장하는 게 중요한 게 아닙니다.

But analysing this is not important.

축출기도를 통해 정신질환을 치유함으로서 그 사실을 증명하는 게 중요할 겁니다.

Important thing is to heal this illness through prayer.

1. 귀신들이 사람들에게 달려들어 손톱으로 할퀴고 이빨로 물어뜯는다.

2. Spirits can physically harm people (scratching and biting)

이 이야기는 영화에나 소설에 나오는 허구입니다.

This is made-up story you’ll find in movies and novels.

성경을 보세요. 귀신들이 물리적으로 공격한 사람이 어디 있는지.

Let’s look at the Bible. When did demons ever hurt humans physically?

귀신들은 머리를 타고앉아 생각을 조종하고, 정신질환이나 고질병에 걸리게 하거나, 부정적인 생각을 넣어주어 사람들의 관계를 이간질 시키거나, 각종 불행한 사건사고를 일으켜서 고통으로 주어 지옥 불에 던져지게 합니다.

They throw people into Hell’s fire by controlling people’s thoughts, causing illness, giving negative thoughts and feelings, in break them apart.

1. 귀신들은 공동묘지, 학교, 폐가 등의 으슥한 곳에 살고 있다.

2. Spirits live in dark places like cemetery, abandoned schools and houses.

이런 투의 이야기도 거짓말입니다.

This is also a lie.

귀신들이 가장 많이 살고 싶어 하는 곳은 사람의 몸이예요.

The pelace demons yearn to live the most is a human body.

물론 이런 저런 곳을 떠돌아다니기도 하지만, 결국 사람의 몸 안에 가장 많이 살고 있습니다.

Yes, they roam around, too, but they dwell mostly in people.

무섭고 으슥한 곳에 살고 있다는 생각은, 그런 곳에 가면 무서운 생각이 들기 때문에 그런 생각을 하게 되며 상상력을 동원한 이야기를, 실제 일어난 것처럼 퍼트리어 생긴 이야기들이 허다합니다.

This was created by rumors floating around with imagination of people, for they fear dark places.

물론 환청과 환각으로 속이기 때문에 그들의 이야기가 전혀 거짓말은 아닐 겁니다. 말하는 자신도 속고 있으니까 말입니다.

Of course, they’d be telling the truth; but they were just deceived by demons and won’t even know what they say is untrue.

1. 귀신을 부적, 십자가, 마늘, 빛으로 쫓아낸다.

2. Spirits can be chased out by charms, cross, garlic, and light.

이 역시 새빨간 거짓말입니다. 귀신이 두려워하는 이는 하나님밖에 없어요.

A total lie; God is the only one demons fear.

그러므로 성령이 내주하는 사람만을 두려워할 뿐입니다.

So they’d only be afraid of people with true faith.

나머지는 사람이 상상으로 지어낸 이야기이죠.

The rest are figments of people’s imagination.

1. 귀신을 축사하는 영험한 기도문으로 쫓아낼 수 있다.

2. You can chase spirits through powerful and famous prayers

이에 돌아다니며 마술하는 어떤 유대인들이 시험삼아 악귀 들린 자들에게 주 예수의 이름을 불러 말하되 내가 바울이 전파하는 예수를 의지하여 너희에게 명하노라 하더라 유대의 한 제사장 스게와의 일곱 아들도 이 일을 행하더니 악귀가 대답하여 이르되 내가 예수도 알고 바울도 알거니와 너희는 누구냐 하며 악귀 들린 사람이 그들에게 뛰어올라 눌러 이기니 그들이 상하여 벗은 몸으로 그 집에서 도망하는지라(행19:13~16)

Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” 14 Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. 15 One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” 16 Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. (Acts 19: 13-16)

이런 말을 하는 이들이 유투브 동영상의 인기강사가 되어 있기에 필자도 적지 않게 놀랐습니다.

I was surprised because people who say such thing are often popular YouTubers.

귀신들은 영험한 주문이나 기도문 따위는 거들떠보지 않습니다.

Demons couldn't care less about spells or prayers scripts

유대인 제사장 스게와의 일곱 아들도 예수님의 이름을 의지하여 명령했지만, 귀신들린 자에게 흠씬 맞아서 도망치기에 바빴죠.

Scheva’s 7 sons tried invoking demons with Jesus’ name, but demons didn’t’ budge; they actually beat the 7 sons and chased them out.

그러나 중이나 퇴마사를 자칭하는 이들과 가짜뉴스를 남발하는 목사와 교인들의 말은 새빨간 거짓말입니다.

What monks, exorcists, and pastors who are busy talking about these things say are not true.

귀신들은 속이는 데 명수입니다. 그러므로 그들도 귀신들에 속았거나 아니면 거짓말로 지어낸 것이예요.

Demons are geniuses at lying. They were most likely fooled by demons; or they probably made it up.

실제로 귀신들과 피터지게 싸워서, 귀신들이 일으킨 정신질환과 고질병을 치유하며 영혼을 구원한 열매로 증명해보여야 할 겁니다.

So-called exorcists should fight against evil and heal people.

1. 무당, 퇴마사, 중들이 귀신을 쫓아낸다.

2. Shamans, monks, and exorcists can chase spirits.

누군가에게 배워서 굿을 하는 가짜 무당이 아니고, 신 내림을 받은 진짜 무당이라면 그들 안에 귀신이 살고 있는 사람입니다.

If the shaman had rituals to accept spirits as a medium, he/she lives as servants of demons.

그러므로 무당이 귀신을 쫓아낸다는 것은 말도 안 되는 말이죠.

So shaman chasing out demons just doesn’t make sense.

굿이란 귀신들이 좋아하는 음식을 차려놓고 음악을 들려주고 춤을 추어서 달래는 것에 불과합니다.

“Rituals” usually pacifies demons with food, music and dance they like.

그래서 병이 낫는 것처럼 보여도 실제 귀신이 나간 것은 아닙니다.

That means demons don’t leave, even thought shamans claim that ritual gets rid of them.

귀신의 포로가 되어서 가산을 탕진하고 패가망신하는 이유입니다.

That’s how many people meet ehri demise, spending their money and time for these rituals.

무당들 자신도 불행하게 살다가 황폐화되어 이 땅을 떠납니다.

Shamans themselves also live in misery, then they leave earth.

퇴마사나 중들이 귀신을 쫓아낸다는 것도 거짓말입니다.

Monks being able to chase deons are also false.

이들은 그럴듯하게 사람들을 속이거나, 아니면 그들 자신도 귀신들에게 속고 있거나 둘 중의 하나예요.

They either lie or are deceived into believing they chase demons out.

1. 귀신에게 홀려서 목숨을 잃었다.

2. Spirits can kill you by putting you in trance.

귀신에게 홀려서 산속을 헤매다가 저수지에 빠져 죽었다든가, 귀신에게 홀려서 밤새 헤매다가 집에 돌아와 심하게 앓다가 죽었다는 이야기가 심심찮게 들리죠.

THere are stories about people who were lured by ghosts and met their death in the woods, or at their own homes after suffering.

물론 귀신들이 환각과 환청으로 속일 수는 있습니다.

Yes, demons can fool you to see and hear things.

그러나 귀신들은 사람 안에 들어가서 생각을 조종하여 불행에 빠뜨려서 고통을 주어 지옥에 던져지게 하는 게 목적입니다.

But their goal is to control you by controlling your thoughts to sin, so they can take you down to Hell.

그러므로 귀신이 들어가서 빙의가 된 사람을 그냥 죽게 하는 사건을 일으킬 이유가 없습니다.

So there is no reason for them to “just” kill people.
